In September 2006, seven of us (five adults and two youths) began an independent new fellowship in Johor Bahru known as the Golden Lampstand Fellowship. Currently, most of our attendants are new believers and we have rented a place for our worship Service in Agape Lutheran Church at Impian Emas. On 1st August 2009, this small group will constitute as a Baptist church – Golden Lampstand Baptist Church. GLBC’s vision is to build a Healthy, Influential, Strong (H.I.S) and Multiplying Baptist church to actively obey His great commandment and great commission. Through IMB / Singapore Baptist Convention Project Barnabas, we begins the new work in JB.
In 7th June, 2011, GLBC became the member of Malaysia Baptist Convention.
